Mr. Woodcock is a potential career-destroying and unfunny "comedy" about one of those awful self-help authors who returns to his home town to find that his hated gym teacher is now dating his mother.. Seann William Scott is the author (why the fuck not?) Because he was a Mr. Woodcock Victim. But all his adult wealth and fame turn to ashes when he discovers his mom, Beverly (Susan Sarandon), is dating Mr. Woodcock, and all his old fears come back. Word has it that Mr. Woodcock was left simmering on a studio shelf for more than two years before finally (dis)gracing your local Cineplex screens. Things go from bad to worse when Mr. Woodcock proposes to John’s mom. Mr. Woodcock opens with flashbacks to the time when fat little John Farley was picked on by Mr. Woodcock, his phys ed teacher.
