they have bred before and had layed 4 eggs and then 3 died and now i have one who is doing good and moving around in his little egg but then last night they layed three more and they got eaten witch can happen but now i cant get them to lay any more eggs so can you tell me how to breed them. i have 11 cory catfish 7 adults and 4 babies and i was wondering how to breed them. I'm interested in setting up a new tank and breeding cory catfish, can different variations of cory catfish breed making a different catfish or do only the same variations breed together.

how many do you currently have and what size tank? 74 is fine for peppered corys , anything higher I would not recommend, my peppered corys are breeding and laying eggs every week or so.

Maybe you could put an air stone under the breeder net to provide them with the air flow. to breed them , feed them 2-3 times a week bloodworms and when you do your water change lower the temp by 4-5 degrees. In the breeder net, there is no place to "stick" the eggs, they just fall to the bottom. This was the best explanation about corys I have seen so far. It will be better if you find a separate tank where the fish can spawn and lay eggs. After the reproduction, the parents should be separated from their fries. Adriana: Wow. Top. Peppered cories should do fine in the 10g tank - a bigger tank would of course not hurt! I read that they can grow up to 3". - it gives general guidelines for how to get them to breed and bringing fry up.
